Ms. Hongxiang Qi, Founder and CEO of Sangsbeel Group, was recently interviewed by Fang Haoming at the China News Center of China-Arab TV. During the interview, Qi reflected on her 30 years in the UAE, noting the country’s dynamic development and the cultural similarities between China and the UAE, such as friendliness, cultural heritage, and respect for elders and family.

Sangsbeel Group has grown from a labor company to a significant player in the construction industry, contributing to 79 projects, including the Burj Khalifa and the Presidential Palace. Qi emphasized that these contributions have helped the UAE appreciate the wisdom, diligence, and pragmatism of the Chinese people.

As the “Belt and Road” initiative marks its 10th anniversary, and with the UAE being one of the first countries to join, Sangsbeel Group has expanded into real estate investment, property management, hotel apartment leasing, and business center consulting services.

In 2017, Qi published the novel “Wisteria Blooming in Dubai,” which narrates her journey and highlights the new image of Chinese people abroad post-China’s reform and opening up. This novel is being adapted into a TV series set to broadcast simultaneously in China and Algeria.

Their insightful discussions highlighted the vast potential for collaboration in film and media production between China and the UAE. This initiative marks a pivotal moment in fostering cultural exchange and enhancing cinematic experiences in both countries.
