On the evening of July 12, 2023, the opening ceremony and concert of the “First International Chinese Original IP Film Festival” (hereinafter referred to as the “IP Film Festival”) was grandly held at the Chan Performing Arts Centre of UBC University in Vancouver, Canada. Nearly a thousand spectators from the Greater Vancouver area came to watch, and nearly a hundred guests from Europe, the United States, Australia, China, and the Middle East who participated in the “Second World Chinese Writers PEN Conference” also attended the event together with many filmmakers. As an overseas Chinese film festival in the post epidemic era, this event is of milestone significance for the future prosperity of the overseas film and television industry.

The winning authors of the “Second World Chinese Film and Television Awards and Film and Television Literature Award” who took the stage to receive the award are: Fang Lina (Austria), author of “Go to China”, Li Xian (USA), author of “Micro Times VS Youth Festival”, Shi Deliang (USA), the author of “Mustard Seed Dream”, Qi Hongxiang (Canada), the author of the novel “A Wisteria Blooming in Dubai”, and Sonia (Canada), the author of the novel “War Chronicle”.
